Terms of use

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of Citrus Convert (citrusconvert.com). It is run by the person named in the legal notice (Impressum). By using the website or signing up for an account you agree to these terms.

2. Services

Citrus Convert converts files online into other formats. It is free to use within the limits shown (file size, number of conversions, processing time); the limits may change.

There is no entitlement to constant availability or to particular formats. Maintenance, outages and changes to the service may happen.

3. Account

An account needs a valid email address that belongs to you. Keep your password secret. You can delete your account at any time in your profile.

An account that breaks these terms may be blocked or deleted.

4. Your files

Only upload files you have the right to use. In particular, files whose content is unlawful, infringes the rights of others or contains malware are not allowed.

I acquire no rights to your files. They are processed only for the conversion and deleted automatically (see the privacy policy). Citrus Convert is not a storage service: keep your originals yourself.

5. Fair use

Getting around the limits (e.g. with many accounts or changing addresses), automated mass use without permission and any attempt to disrupt or attack the service are not allowed.

6. Liability

Conversions are automatic. Check the results before using them further; no warranty is given for their correctness or completeness.

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence I am liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated; the current version is on this page. Account holders are informed of significant changes by email.

8. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you normally live remain unaffected. If a provision is invalid, the rest remains valid.
